know its tagged as ansi but is it really . Im trying to figure out why mystic is all of a sudden converting my messages to ansi .... also im not sure if it looks like ansi if it really is ansi or some kind of garbled up mess . I
think if some one says yes it is in fact looking like its ansi ill download
it and open it in an ansi editor and see what it looks like . Also what I did was when i 1st posted that message it sent it to sysop and I have no idea why it did that either , so I downloaded it and uploaded it to the right person ,
I wonder if the the up down process is broken even tho I remove the header
and signature be for re uploading it .

OK, took a look at your last post by doing X and saving it to a file and then looked at it with a hexeditor to check for ANSI, there was none. It had CRLF line endings, but nothing that was ANSI only like ESC sequences. So it didn't need the [ANSI] tag on the subject line.

Others have intermittently had this issue too. MeaTLoTioN posted about it, with replies from... Deon, Avon and Al?? I think; theres info about what they thought/found.. if you want to find it its here SOMEWHERE. Sorry, not more helpful, but.. it is a known-issue???

i'm testing a |03theory |07here..

but my guess is there area few criteria:

networked message area
any color whatsoever (so in the sig. that *is* ansi!)
allow ansi is on (ie. potentially not stripped)

we'll see what my above line looks like (and this message overall)

verified on vertrauen at least that the pipe codes themselves make it through so.. that theory is busted :/

That's right, pipe codes don't equal ANSI on mystic. All the emails use pipe codes to get the colors. Real ANSI like most ANSI uses ESC codes and they will trigger that [ANSI] in the subject line.

The way I do a version command (mystic version) in mystic (Linux) it:

Not that I can see... it looks like it's not ANSI when I use Golded to read
the message at 1/100 HUB
