• Echo Areas are always New?

    From McDoob@21:4/135 to All on Fri Jan 21 15:55:56 2022
    Hi, everyone;

    I've found a problem since I joined Fido. I wouldn't have even mentioned it, but it's now affecting my fsxNet echo areas, too.

    Some of my echo areas are 'stuck'. They are showing 'New' messages, but they are not actually new. And some of these areas are definitely not showing
    actual new messages...

    I'm not sure exactly how to describe this problem. Again, I wouldn't even mention it, except it is now affecting fsxNet echos too.

    Could any of you please tell me what I've broken now?

    perhaps try applying a new scan date across all your bases to today's date?

    you could also use index area reader and ctrl-c to force mystic to 'catch up' on the read messages.

    Thanks again, Mystic Guy! Ctrl-C works...for now...I'm still worried that I'm missing messages in certain areas, but that's not confirmed.

    You probably want to upgrade to a newer Mystic. That's quite an old version and IIRC there were some weird bugs in A46.

    I had the same issue you described.
    I have been a Fido member a while and don't think that it is connected.
    i deleted the messages, that sorted it, and it has not happened since.

    I believe it will display all messages up to the latest one (in order) that you've read as "new". So if you read one message, all the older ones should not be shown as new any longer?

    Best regards
