Hi,
I am in the process of setting up a new system and have the basic install completed.
What access level should I set the sysop user too in the config section? Is 255 the highest level or 0 or 1 or some other numbering system?
On another note if I wish to connect my board to others will a static ip do or will I need dns?
Thanks,
Tom

If you just want to connect to other's then you don't need to do
anyhting. It's when you want to accept incoming (FTN/USERS), that you'll need a static IP address (Best), or use a dynamic dns provider.

I will point a dns entry to my system.
Is it best to access nets like Fxnet and others through another board
or connect mine directly?
What advantages might there be in connecting directly vs accessing
thngs through another system?
I will want to run the bbs on a small Lightsail instance, so running a server with multiple ports really isn't an issue for me.
