Would it be possible to have in a future feature in Mystic to have a flashing indicator of new netmail, maybe with an audible chirp like Frontdoor had back in the day? That would be nice, still loving Mystic
BBS as it is.

I would like to hear a little beep whenever somone logs on. I think that is possible, although I haven't set that up yet.
I was thinking more in terms of "new" netmail on the frontend of what would be considered as the mailer_frontend, not necessary for a caller to the BBS.Would it be possible to have in a future feature in Mystic to hav

I just thought of something. In the Prelogin menu, you can choose to execute a Python scrip or a Mystic MPL program. So if you can write or find something that would do what you want, that may be the way to go.

you can just run an mp3 player (like mpg123) instead of a "door" and
have it play a ding or something else.
