That's the one I should have included too on my list, a great track f getting out of the studio to the loo and back

Can't remember if it was you or someone else...but I remember back in
the day while working on-air...had the list memorized on best tunes to
use overnights to head to the loo. My favorite was "I'm Your Captain" by Grand Funk Railroad at almost 11 minutes long. Also would have some Pink Floyd ("Animals") ready as well.

Both good songs, our format didn't have them on the playlist but I can only wish for 11 mins :)

That's the one thing I love about Classic Rock...some of the songs are long. Just a wee bit before my time in the business...but love the old stories of some of these stations playing sides of albums. Some of the NPR college/Pacifica stations would do this back in the day. At least 1 good thing...had hair on my head...but lost it in my early 20's.

KSAN in San Francisco played all of Frampton Comes Alive when I was in grade school. I remember falling asleep to it with headphones on and waking up
just in time for the crescendo of "Do you feel like I do".

KFJC, one of my favorite college stations, used to have a yearly marathon of covers of "Louie, Louie". for 24+ hours.

Bryan Ferry did a cover. That was a stretch.

Motorhead do a pretty good louie louie. There's a number of covers by them
at different times that hold up pretty well.

Those were the days I wish I would've lived through. Love some of the stories I used to hear from veterans from those days.

Remember when a station in the early 80's switched from classic rock to country...did 24 hours of "You're The Reason God Made Oklahoma" or as I call it..."You're The Reason Oklahoma Looks Stupid". Add to that...remembered an episode of "The Simpsons" where the started off with "Monster Mash" & accidentially ended the show with it...as the announcers can't believe the mistake they made.
