• Locast Replacement

    Hi all,

We were happy subscribers to Locast streaming services, they provided streams of all your local TV channels, so you could view that stuff via Roku or Firestick App without having to install an OTA antenna. Sad thing was they
got sued out of business. So we kissed off $60 since they folded right after
    we paid. No biggie really.

Was wondering if anyone has heard of a new business playing in that
arena? We have an OTA antenna but we live far enoigh out of town we can't get all the offerings. I personally have not found anything like this.

Hulu + advertised no ads and local channels but that's a bogus claim. We have Hulu+ and there are ads in virtually everything we watch, and the only locals they carry are the ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, and FOX stations. None of the dot channels like MeTV, Grit, Antenna, etc etc

    So, here I am asking.

    Thanks!

being over the other side of the world I am not going to be much use for you... but am curious, OTA = over the air aka free to view TV?

This happened here in New Zealand with Sky TV. Started out no ads as a point of difference then they started adding them in :(
