I was waiting in line at a Walgreens today to pick up a prescription, and out of the blue a
gentleman mentioned flukes and the pancreas. Me being me, I decided to Google it
right away.
Google's AI gave the following: "Flukes can affect the pancreas through parasitic
infections, such as Eurytrema and Clonorchis sinensis, which can infest the pancreatic
ducts.
This parasitic infestation can lead to pancreatitis, inflammation, and other gastrointestinal symptoms like diarrhea or abdominal pain. While flukes most commonly
infect the liver and bile ducts, they can migrate to ectopic sites like the pancreas."
In short, he said that getting rid of these parasites can cure Diabetes. Not sure if this is
true or not, but it is worth looking into. Currently I am getting once a month infusions
of small doses of insulin to try and get the pancreas working again.
