The most neglected body part at the commercial bodybuilding gym are the legs. An army of trainers playing with dumbbells, machines, bench pressing and the squats/deadlift area is, mostly empty. It is hard work.
To train legs most new trainers use the leg press and that is no substitute for
conventional squats with a barbell.
You should hit all body parts, including your legs to get stronger and create a good base
of strength all over.
Leg training is equally important as all other body parts.
If you are training with fundamentals of strength training, then you probably train 3
times a week.
One day you Squat, another day you Bench and for the third day you deadlift.
This simple old school routine works your entire physique from head to toe. You add more assistant exercises later to increase flexibility in your joints.
So what does really happen you only train these 3 lifts?
Both conventional Deadlifts and Back Squat impact your entire physique, but you will
feel you legs are impacted all over.
To hit the Quadriceps more, you can add some Front Squat and for hamstrings development, you train with Romanian Deadlifts.
So 3 times per week using variations of deadlifts and squats and bench and their
variations of these exercises will take care of your whole body, including legs.
This simple training carry over your daily life.
You end up with strong legs and back support in addition to strong upper body.
