Last Wednesday was our last chance to see the tourney live and in person. It was also our last chance to win some of the swag giveaways that they do on a regular basis.
There are many sponsors there: for pickleball paddles, paddle wraps, and much more.
It came time to give away a Paddletek brand paddle and every other time they would just hand one to some of the paid sponsors sitting on the ends of the courts.
This time, they walked in our direction and asked crowd members to wave their hands wildly. My wife didn't do that. She made a motion with her hands as if she was praying for the paddle. The end result was: she got the paddle!
Currently she is unable to play. She had a full knee replacement over 6 months ago and is still in recovery.
Someday she will be able to use it.
